KHCS Carpool Plan

Good Day Hawks Family, this is Mr. Mac Dean of School Culture. We are showing you an overview of the Arrival Process and Loop Path. Thank you in advance for following all Safety and driving procedures that ensure our scholar’s safety. 

Step 1: Come into the school entrance off of S. Alston.

• • Please make the proper arrangements to arrive on time for the carpool (720am – 750am). If you come around 745am it will be very hard to make it on time for arrival and it will cause more of a back-up. 

Step 2: Stay to the right using the right lane and following the arrow. Please continue straight in the right lane and go around the loop path. Please stay to the right. Only move to the other lane if the lane is blocked (i.e. Bus, Trailer, or Hazard).

Step 3: Please, Please, Please follow the Carpool Loop/Path ALL the way around! Do Not cut through! It is a Safety Issue and Hazard! Cutting through will cause a back-up in the carpool and hinder the Flow and Safety. 

• • Do Not Go into the Parking lot during carpool (720am – 750am).

• • Do Not let any scholars out of the vehicle in any place other than the carpool-designated area unless it is after the arrival time at which you will need to park and bring your scholar inside to sign them in. 

Step 4: Remember to drive safely through the carpool loop/path and stay in the right lane. 

Step 5: You will follow the instructions from the outside carpool staff regarding when to pull up and let your scholar out and then when to pull out safely.

Last Step: Please make right turns only when exiting the school property. This prevents traffic, accidents, and carpool backup! This will ensure everyone’s safety.
