Kestrel Heights Elementary & Middle School

It’s a wonderful place to be!

Welcome to Kestrel Heights Charter School. This year we will focus on A.C.E. (Academics, Culture, Enrichment) as we S.O.A.R. together! At Kestrel, we believe that all children can succeed in a safe and challenging environment that is dedicated to nurturing lifelong learners. By fostering a community with high expectations, modeling characteristics of responsible citizenship, and focusing on the development of the entire person, we believe we will create an environment where every student has the opportunity to reach their highest potential.

This begins my 19th year in education. I received my undergraduate degree with K-8 teaching certification in 1998, my Master’s in Educational Leadership in 2006, and I have completed over 45 hours toward my Doctorate in Educational Leadership. For the first sixteen years of my career, I served in public education in Virginia. I was a Language Arts teacher and basketball/volleyball coach for seven years before beginning my administrative career. The past two years, I have been honored to serve the Kestrel Heights community as 6-8 Principal and 6-12 Principal. I am excited to now serve as K-8 Principal.
