Student Life

Kestrel Heights offers a wide range of electives and extracurricular activities, including robust arts and sports offerings. All students in elementary school receive special instruction each week in art, music, dance, PE, and Spanish. Sixth-grade students will receive the same opportunities, while seventh- and eighth-grade students will have the option of focusing on one enrichment activity for the entire year. In addition, eighth-grade students will have the opportunity to take classes for high school credit.

Clubs & Programs

Students are strongly encouraged to start clubs focused on their passions and new clubs are regularly added throughout the year. All clubs have a faculty sponsor and meet regularly. Current middle school programs include:

  • Model United Nations
  • Battle of the Books
  • Sewing Club
  • Anime Club
  • National Honor Society
  • Student Government
After-School Programs

Kestrel Heights students can participate in after-school programs provided by the YMCA of the Triangle. Register online or visit a local YMCA to sign up your child for the 2017-2018 school year. Financial assistance is available.

Life is a learning process; learning is a life-long process. You can’t separate the two.
